Course Description
This is a certificate course covering warehousing in the supply chain with an emphasis on distribution inventory management, product storage, packaging and shipment, and sustainability in logistics. The Supply Chain Warehousing Certificate program is a premier continuing education certificate designed to help experienced supply chain professionals expand their knowledge and skills as they relate to this key corporate function which is warehousing. This course provides the participants with comprehensive knowledge of the concepts, practices, and trends related to organizational, strategic use and leverage of warehousing. Completion of this program is designed to help individuals build their knowledge in warehousing and distribution, and how important these functions are to a successful company.
Audience
This course will be of interest to those who wish to further their careers by obtaining a signed certificate and digital badge from the Association of Supply Chain Management (ASCM), including those who are considering Supply Chain careers or have a few years of experience (especially those already working in a warehouse environment) and are looking to expand their career options in Supply Chain Management or wish to stand out in a competitive job market. This course is especially useful for warehouse clerks, shipping/receiving personnel, material handlers, inventory cycle counters, and supervisors/managers/directors who manage these functions. Methods for categorizing inventory and managing the costs associated with
holding stock. - Returns Management
Procedures for handling and processing customer returns. - Sustainable Work Practices
Application of environmentally responsible and sustainable practices within
warehouse and distribution operations. - Problem-Solving in Warehouse Operations
Use of structured problem-solving processes to address issues in warehouses or
