A Schedule of July Courses at PDC of GCC

Shop Math and Blueprint Reading

Our Shop Math and Blueprint Reading course starts on July 10, and it represents a perfect introduction to the skills that shop employees will need to identify the symbology and measurements of quality parts. Geared towards inspectors, machinists, technicians, assemblers, and purchasing agents involved in product quality and inspection, there are no prerequisite courses required.

This course requires 60 hours of classroom time, divided into 4-hour sessions over 15 consecutive weeks. It can, however, be customized to suit your company’s needs.

SolidWorks Mechanical Design

Because SolidWorks has become an industry leader in 3-D solid modeling software for mechanical design and engineering, we’re offering a course for helping participants to develop skill and speed in creating complex models and fully dimensioned engineering drawings. An understanding of blueprint reading, manufacturing design, and mechanical design is required to take this course, which starts on July 10.

This course requires 80 hours of classroom time, divided into 4-hour sessions over 20 consecutive weeks. It can also be adapted to suit your company’s unique needs.

CATIA V5 Mechanical Design

The CATIA V5 Mechanical Design course begins on July 16, and offers students an introduction to CATIA V5 and an emphasis on the Sketcher workbench. We do recommend having experience in manufacturing, design, and engineering because this class can be rather challenging.

This course will require 80 hours of class time, divided into 5-hour sessions over the course of 16 weeks. It can also be customized to suit a company’s individual requirements.
